Carpenter Beach Construction is very excited to announce the launch of our new web site in June of 2009. We think that our new and existing customers will find the new site easy to use, clean and sleek, with many beautiful photographs of some the projects we have been working on and completed. We hope our customers will use the web site for ideas for future home building projects that will enhance the quality of their lives and the value of their homes.
As part of our continued dedication to the green building movement, Carpenter Beach Construction is excited to announce that in the fall of 2009 we will be providing a new service for our existing and new customers called “Local Wood”. Local Wood will provide kiln and air dried lumber for cabinetry, flooring, furniture and other projects that require dried lumber. The concept was developed by Charlie Beach, one of the owners of Carpenter
Beach Construction, who felt that there is a demand for lumber that is locally harvested, sawn, dried, and distributed in Loudoun County and Clarke County. Charlie hopes that new and existing customers will use this service to have trees on their property harvested, sawn, dried and ultimately used to create custom wood products. Carpenter Beach will also sell locally harvested lumber to all woodworkers at the 40 Kimble Road Shop in Berryville, Virginia. More details to follow.
Carpenter Beach Construction is dedicated to green sustainable building practices. Carpenter Beach also joined the United States Green Building Council in 2007. The USGBC is a leading organization in the green building movement and as a member; we are helping set the standard on best practices for green building.
In November 2008, Scott Carpenter, one of the owners of Carpenter Beach Construction, attained his Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) certification offered by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). This intensive three day training program focused on the needs of our aging population who would like to continue to live in their existing homes and the modifications needed to make them safer and more user friendly to occupants that may have short term or long term mobility problems.
